Why we love the Meatpacking District
The Meatpacking District is small — roughly Gansevoort Street to 15th, west of Hudson Street to the river — and it has changed more completely than almost any neighborhood in Manhattan. The cobblestones and the loading-dock canopies are still there. What happens beneath them is not.
The Whitney Museum sits at the foot of the High Line, and the streets around it now hold fashion flagships, hotels, rooftops and restaurants where the neighborhood's market buildings used to run overnight. Gansevoort Plaza is one of the few places in the city where you can stand on 19th-century paving and look up at a glass museum.
It is a neighborhood built on arrivals — of guests, of press, of people dressed for the evening — and flowers are usually part of what greets them. Élan has designed for hotel suites, restaurant openings, brand activations and private parties throughout the district.

Flowers for Meatpacking District Events
In the Meatpacking District, the room is usually part of the invitation.

Our event designers consider the entire environment — the architecture, tablescape, lighting, season, color palette and purpose of the event — to create flowers that feel connected to the space rather than simply placed within it.
From an intimate dinner to a large-scale floral installation, every event begins with the same question:
What should this room feel like?
Frequently Asked Questions
Delivery & Pickup
Do you offer same-day flower delivery in Meatpacking?
Yes. We deliver same day throughout Meatpacking and Manhattan for all orders received before 12 PM.
What is your general delivery policy?
We require that someone be available to receive all of our flower deliveries, and a working local phone number for every delivery.
How will my flowers be delivered?
To treat our work with the utmost care, all of our arrangements are hand-delivered.
How will the delivery be presented?
Our arrangements are elegantly gift wrapped — the blooms nestled in tissue, protected with cellophane and tied with our signature black satin ribbon.
Will you let me know when the flowers are delivered?
Yes. We send a delivery confirmation with a photo of the finished arrangement attached.
Can I request a delivery time?
We cannot guarantee a specific time, but we do offer delivery windows, and you can choose one at checkout. For particular requests, call us at (212) 240-9033.
What happens with deliveries to a business?
We require a phone number for the recipient, as some buildings will not accept perishable deliveries and we may need to call the recipient or a representative to come to the lobby. We cannot take responsibility if the recipient is away from the office or out of town; if the flowers cannot be accepted for those reasons, a new order will need to be placed for another time.
What happens with deliveries to a residence?
If there is no doorman, we contact the recipient to arrange a two-hour window when someone can be home. If no one is there when the delivery arrives, the sender is responsible for a return fee and a re-delivery fee before we attempt another delivery.
Do you deliver to hospitals and universities?
Yes. We ask for a room number and a phone number for the recipient so we can reach them or their representative directly if needed.
Can I pick up an arrangement instead?
Of course. You are welcome to collect your order from our Tribeca studio — simply choose Pick Up in the delivery section at checkout.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
How do I get to your studio?
Our studio is at 1 Worth Street in Tribeca.
Ordering & Payment
What forms of payment do you accept?
All major credit cards, including American Express.
How long can my gift message be?
There is no limit, though we encourage brevity — let the flowers speak for themselves.
Our Guarantee
What is your return and refund policy?
As flowers are perishable, all sales are final. That said, we take great pride in the integrity and quality of our work, and we want you to enjoy our arrangements as much as we do. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with what you received, contact us within 24 hours so we have the opportunity to put it right.
Caring for Your Flowers
How do I care for my arrangement?
Add fresh water daily. Keep the arrangement out of direct sunlight, at a cool room temperature between 65 and 72 degrees, and away from heating or cooling vents, drafts and appliances that give off heat.
How do I care for an orchid plant?
Place three ice cubes at the base of the plant once weekly, avoiding direct contact with the leaves — twice weekly if the room is dry. Yellowing leaves are rarely cause for alarm; an orchid will occasionally drop a leaf to make room for a new one. Mushy roots indicate over-watering. Orchids bloom for up to three weeks after purchase, after which the blooms fall and the flower stem turns brown. The plant is simply resting, and with continued care will be ready to bloom again in roughly a year.
