The Dreamiest Table Set on the Terrace of The Soho Grand Hotel.
After a week of grey, rainy weather in New York City, the sun came out just in time for a sunset dinner on the terrace of the Soho Grand Hotel. The client wanted whimsy and asked for flowers set amongst books. Lucky for her, we are book lovers and have a collection of vintage tomes in our studio. It was a match made in literary heaven.
Floral Details - A mix of Chocolate cosmos, black dahlias, plum colored Brownie tulips and soft terra cotta hued Moab roses. They were combined with burgundy cotinus, rosemary, spiral and seeded eucalyptus. Napkin treatments of 2 varieties of eucalyptus set off the personalized menus laid on gold chargers.
Special touches - Floral arrangements in varied containers with short stacks
of vintage books interspersed with elegant taper candles, gilded votives and
fall pears and figs. All together, a glorious setting for a sunset dinner.
